21 April 2008

Movie "Wonder Water" awarded first place.

Sam Tumminello's short movie "Wonder Water" was awarded first place in the Senior Division by Videomaker magazine (May 2008). Tumminello, a member of the Alabama Filmmakers Co-op, produced and directed the movie.

The movie, told in a minimalist style, depicts a classic Alabama story of youthful events leading to the character’s eventual memorialization. It was first shown at the Film Co-op’s Rocket City Short Film Festival last October 2007.

Quoting Videomaker Magazine: "A wonderfully executed video with a surprise climax. The colors and textures Sam uses are beautiful and tie in with the theme of the overall video".
